It's meant for occasional use, on days when you need extra-long hold, such as for a special occasion or in humid weather.

If you're only after frizz control without a firm hold, you might prefer a product from the Anti Frizzy line instead.

Silium Decolorante is a lightening powder designed to lift the hair's colour level before applying a lighter dye, or to create highlights and localised lightening, always to be mixed with the developer in the ratio stated on the pack.

Mix the powder with the developer until you get a smooth, even cream, then apply it to the sections you want to lighten, leaving it on and checking the level of lightening reached periodically before rinsing thoroughly. Processing time varies depending on the result you want and your hair's starting base.

It's suited to anyone wanting to reach a light base before applying a cool or fantasy shade, or to anyone wanting to lighten just a few sections. After bleaching, the fibre is more fragile, so it's always worth following up with a restructuring treatment such as the Maschera Ristrutturante Capelli Colorati or the Rigenerante Siero Anti Age.
